Smith

Wanda Nell Smith, 55, of Elberta died April 21, 2007 in a Mobile hospital.

She was born Nov. 14, 1951. She was a native of Frankville. She was disabled but had worked prior as a school bus driver.

Survivors include one son, John F. Smith, Jackson; three daughters, Dewanna Jo Reed, Grove Hill, Dorothy Jean Smith Moran, Foley, Lucky Smith, Elberta; four brothers, Needham Henson, Frankville, Michael Carl Henson, Kingsman, Ariz., Edward Henson, Richard Henson, both of Coden; nine sisters, Juanita Elmore, Marilyn Dempsey, both of Frankville, Olivia Lloyd, Edna Smith, both of Jackson, Rachel Gates, Thomasville, Gloria Henson, Chatom, Tina Swank, Irvington, Bama Meeks, Highland Home, Pearl Carney, Waynesboro, Miss.; seven grandchildren.

The service was April 22 at 4 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church near Grove Hill with Rev. Benny Harrison officiating. Burial was in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
