Armistead

Eugene Lee Armistead, 78, of Morvin died April 20, 2007 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham.

He was born April 10, 1929 in Morvin. He was a member of Forest Springs Baptist Church. He had worked as a maintenance worker with Scotch Lumber Company. He was a cattle farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy K. Armistead, Morvin; one daughter, Judy Moore, Millers Ferry; one granddaughter, Betsy Greene, Livingston.

The service was April 23 at 11 a.m. at Forest Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Roscoe Wentworth officiating. Burial was in the Forest Springs Cemetery in Morvin. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Paul Gibson, John Woods, Wilson Jordan, Wayne Tate, John Smith and Wilson Charley.

Honorary pallbearers were Emanuel Tate, J.F. Overstreet, Seaborn Hicks, David Rush, Harold Crenshaw, Arlis Hicks, Jimmy Armistead and Dewayne Gates.
