Gators end baseball season at Faith

The Clarke Prep School Gator baseball team ended their season Monday on the short-end of a 6- 5 score in Mobile.

Clay Furrow was the hard-luck loser as he gave up eight hits while striking out three.

Chad Dickinson was 2-for-3 to lead the team at the plate. Tanner Tucker was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Taylor Becton was 1-for-4 with two RBI. Furrow and Windham Jackson each had a hit. Wesley Morgan and Heath Bishop each added an RBI.

Last Friday the Gators beat Fort Dale 12-11 on Jason Gate's RBI last frame.

Furrow went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI. Becton was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Dickinson was 2-for-3. Jackson added a hit and two RBI. J.D. Powell and Tucker each had a hit and an RBI. Bishop had a hit. Brett Bradford had a sacrifice and an RBI.

Dickinson started the game and lasted six innings before Gates took the mound and got the win working the final inning and a third.

On Thursday, April 19 Clarke Prep was edged 3-2 by Morgan Academy in Selma.

Morgan went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Becton was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Furrow and Gates each added a hit.

Furrow took the loss.

The Gators lose only two seniors, Furrow and Morgan, from this year's team.
