Lady Bulldogs prepare for area tourney

The Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs hammered the Lady Indians of Southern Choctaw 16-1 last week in Grove Hill.

Menetre Martin went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Nicki Harvell was 2- for-3 with an RBI. Ayesha Dickinson was 2-for-2. Nikki Williams, Abby Walker and Brittney Harvell each added a hit.

Abbey Walker (1-2) got her first of the season as she allowed just two hits and one run in five innings of work.

CCHS lost 11-1 to Washington County in Chatom in their final game of the regular season.

Brittney Dunson went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Walker, N. Harvell and Dickinson each had a hit.

Walker (1-3) took the loss. The Lady Bulldogs (12-14) traveled to Chatom Wednesday to play WCHS in the first round of the area tournament. The winner plays Mobile Christian in the second round. The loser waits to play the loser of the game with Mobile Christian.
