Lady Gators end season at state
Senior Dunagan named to the all-tourney team

The Clarke Prep School Lady Gators dropped both of their games in the AISA Class AAA state softball tournament last Friday at Lagoon Park in Montgomery.

In the final game Clarke Prep lost 10-4 to Macon-East.

Katelyn Dunagan, the lone senior starter on the team, went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Tess Ackerman and Corrie Allen each went 1-for-4 with an RBI. Jessica McKinley went 1-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored. Kay Kay Grocholl went 1-for-2.

Ackerman took the loss. She pitched all six innings, allowed three runs and struck out five.

In the opener the Lady Gators were edged 3-0 by Lee-Scott.

McKinley went 2-for-4. Allen was 2-for-3. Haley Hill, Anna Hicks and Courtney Dunagan each had a hit.

Grocholl tossed all six frames in taking the loss. She allowed just one earned run and fanned two batters.

Dunagan was named to the alltournament team.
