CCHS finishes softball season

The Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs ended their season in the Class 3A Area 1 tournament as they lost 7-4, in 10 innings, to the host Washington County Lady Bulldogs last Thursday.

Abby Walker, Nicki Harvell and Ericka Williams all had a hit. Williams and Ayesha Dickinson each had an RBI.

E. Williams (11-13) took the loss. She pitched nine and onethird innings, giving up one earned run. Walker pitched the final two-thirds inning and didn't allow a run.

In the tourney opener last Wednesday, the Lady Bulldogs lost 9-2.

E. Williams shouldered the loss. She pitched five frames. Walker pitched the last inning.

Carrie Gordon went 2-for-4. Menetre Martin went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

The Lady Bulldogs finished the season with a 12-16 record.

They lose seniors Gordon and N. Harvell.
