Man stabbed in McIntosh

A Grove Hill man is listed in stable condition at USA Medical Center in Mobile following a stabbing in McIntosh May 4.

According to McIntosh Police Chief Charles Koger, Ronnell Mose of Grove Hill and his girlfriend Julia Rodgers of Pine Hill got into an argument while traveling through McIntosh.

They stopped the vehicle in the Greer's parking lot and the argument escalated. At some point Rodgers stabbed Mose twice in the upper chest with a steak knife, puncturing his lung. She got out of the vehicle and he followed her.

The fight continued across Highway 43 into the Dollar General parking lot where Mose collapsed.

Rodgers had a bite mark on the left side of her face and an injury on her head where Mose had struck her.

McIntosh Police Officer Blane Barnett went to the scene and applied pressure to Mose's wound until the ambulance arrived.

Rodgers has been charged with domestic violence/assault, first degree and Mose will be charged with domestic violence/assault, first degree.
