Missing teens found unharmed

Two teenage girls initially feared abducted have been located. However, they may be in almost as much trouble as they would have been had they been abducted. Several FBI agents came to the county to help local lawmen in a search and investigation.

Reagan Wall, 14, and her cousin, Katelyn Day, 13, were reported missing from their Whatley home before dawn Sunday morning.

Clarke County Sheriff's Investigator Ron Baggett said there was no evidence that the home was broken into. A friend of the girls told lawmen that she had talked to them on a cell phone and that they wanted to come home but couldn't.

Eventually, a search located the girls at a home in the Liberty area Monday unharmed. They were hiding in a nearby deer stand shooting house when lawmen found them.

The three apparently made up the abduction story so the two cousins could get away from their parents and spend time with a friend.

One of the two was sent to a juvenile detention center because she threatened to run away.

The friend, a juvenile who was not identified, has been charged with giving lawmen a false report.

Baggett said more charges may be forthcoming and that an investigation is continuing.
