Brad Larrimore has been named vice president and mill manager of Weyerhaeuser Company's Pine Hill containerboard operation.

Larrimore is a veteran papermaker and manager who has worked at the Pine Hill operations for 31 years. Beginning as a student intern, Larrimore worked at the Pine Hill containerboard operation as process engineer, machine superintendent, finished products manager, engineering manager, technical manager, pulp, power and recovery manager, and most recently, finished products manager for a second time.

A native of Clarke County, Larrimore earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of South Alabama.

As vice president and mill manager, Larrimore is responsible for the daily operation, production and safety at the 350- employee Pine Hill containerboard operation which has the capacity to produce 860,000 tons annually of containerboard, the strong brown paper used in shipping boxes and other packaging.

Larrimore reports to John Yerke, Weyerhaeuser's vice president for containerboard mills. He has been working as interim mill manager for several months.

"The Pine Hill mill has a rich history of success as a competitive, low-cost producer of quality linerboard and corrugated medium" said Larrimore. "We want to build on the Pine Hill culture of safe and competitive production, always in tune with our environmental stewardship responsibilities.

"Weyerhaeuser's Pine Hill operation has several key competitive advantages. Most important are our committed work force and safety culture. We also have a good equipment base, raw material supply area and very competitive energy situation," Larrimore said. "We want to continue to be a success and to make positive contributions to our shareholders and in our community."

Larrimore lives in Dickinson with his wife Kay. They have three children and two grandchildren.
