Summer school classes are available

All eleventh graders who need to take one or more parts of the AHSGE in July need to apply at Jackson High School Auditorium on the day of the test that you need to take at 7:45 a.m. Bring a picture ID - and 2 sharpened pencils.

CCHS summer remediation

Language, Davis, Mondays, 1-3 p.m.; reading, Roberts, Tuesday, 10-12; science, Jones, Wednesdays, 10-12; social studies, Coates, Thursdays, 10-12 p.m.; mathematics, Sharp, Mondays, 9-11 a.m.

Test dates are Monday, July 16, reading; Tuesday, July 17, language, Wednesday, July 18, social studies, Thursday, July 19, science and Friday, July 20, mathematics.

First term, (1/2 credit - June 11- 28; second term, (1/2 credit) - July 9-26.

List of courses offered on-line include English, English 9, English 10, English 11, English 12, AHSGE Language remediation; Math, Algebra 1 - NO IA or IB, Algebra II, Algebra II with Trigonometry, Geometry - NO A or B, AHSGE Math Remediation; Science, biology (general), chemistry (general), environmental science, physical science, physics, economics - 12th, AHSGE science remediation; History, U.S. History - 12th, U.S. History from 1877 to present, AHSGE Social Studies Remediation; Remediation, AHSGE Reading Comprehension, AHSGE Language Rememdiation, AHSGE Math Remediation, AHSGE Science Remediation; Health, health education.

Dates/Times: Monday- Thursday from 8 until 2:30 p.m., with 30 minutes for lunch; must attend all 24 days (both terms) to earn 1 credit! Cost $100 for both terms, payable in advance to Clarke County High School - only 12 spaces/seats available/first come, first served basis.

First term, (1/2 credit - June 11- 28; second term, (1/2 credit) - July 9-26.
