Farmers Market Coupon Booklets to be distributed in five locations

The ATRC Area Agency on Aging in coordination with the Alabama Farmers Market Authority and the Alabama Department of Senior Services will issue Farmer's Market Coupon Booklets in Clarke County on Tuesday, June 5 at 12 p.m. at the Coffeeville Senior Center at 37 Legion Street in Coffeeville and at the Choctaw Bluff Senior Center at 361 Choctaw Bluff (fire station); Thursday, June 7 at 12 p.m. at the Thomasville Nutrition Center at 145 Adams Avenue in Thomasville; Grove Hill Senior Center at 111 Church Street, Grove Hill; Jackson Senior Center at 324 Vanity Park Drive in Jackson.

The coupons will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Income guidelines that must be met include the following: $17,820 for a household of 1, $1,485, monthly; $23,712 for a household of 2, $1,976, monthly, and $29,760 for a household of 3, $2,480, monthly. Applicants must be aged 60 or older. A picture ID will be required. Each recipient must sign for the book that they receive. No proxies will be allowed.
