There will be a reunion of all descendants of Alonzo and Walter Deas Saturday, June 16 in Jackson. Activities will begin at 10 a.m. at the VFW on Club Wiley Road, the first road on the left after crossing the Tombigbee River when traveling north on U.S. 43.

Those planning to attend are asked to bring a covered dish. All related families and friends are invited.

Alonzo was father to 11 children: Lula (Dungan), Will, Mamie (Beverly), Bertha (Milstead), Walter, Maynard, Bea (Darawich), Anna Belle (Roh), Edley, Ellis and a deceased infant son. Walter fathered 15 children: John Lester, Malcolm, Mack, Audrey (Robinson, Rainey), Minnie Pearl, Leon Cecil, Sam and eight who are deceased.
