Abel

William Paul Abel, 66, of Coffeeville died June 2, 2007 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

He was born June 23, 1940 in Harrison County, Ohio. He was a pulp and paper mill supervisor.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Abel, Coffeeville; two sons, Paul (Cindy) Abel, Sneads, Fla., Van (April) Moore, Canton, Miss.; two daughters, Denise Anderson, Dothan, Cheryl (Jesse) Dowdy, Wingo, Ky.; four brothers, Donald Abel, Randleman, N.C., Dick Abel, Hubert, N.C., Bob Abel, Carlisle, Penn., Francis Abel, Kensington, Ohio; two sisters, Nancy Nicodemus, Roscommon, Mich., Bonnie Fife, Jewett, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

The service was June 4 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Moody Day officiating. Burial was in the Grove Hill Cemetery. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Francis Abel, Doug Abel, Donald Abel, Frank Nicodemus, Woody Dumas and William Scott.

Honorary pallbearers were L.C. Pugh, Bealie Hutto and John Erzen.
