Jackson Chamber honors Pine City Ambassadors

The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the 2006/07 Pine City Ambassadors for their hard work and dedication throughout their term.

The group consists of 14 seniors from throughout the Jackson area who are selected based on academics, citizenship, leadership and character.

"I am excited about the wonderful adventures that life holds for the Pine City Ambassadors. They all have the opportunity to continue to learn and build upon the leadership, citizenship and academic excellence they have already exemplified. We wish them much success in their future endeavors", says Chamber director LaShaunda Holly.

After successful completion, each ambassador is awarded a scholarship. The following Pine City Ambassadors have received a scholarship in the amount of $450:

Lacey Blankenship, Eshala Crutchfield and Jodi Walker- Leroy High School.

Clara DuBose, Laura Rotch and Rachel Phillips- Jackson Academy.

Brittany Harrell, Jon Luke Jacobs, Leonard Jackson, Logan Murphy, Recardio Dread, Sam Griffin, Sergio Washington and Terry Stephens- Jackson High School.

Education Committee scholarships

The Education Committee of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize scholarship recipients Holt Stackhouse and Anderia Morris.

Each year a high school student that has successfully completed both the tenth and eleventh grade or is a graduating senior is eligible for Scholarship One. Scholarship Two is rewarded to a student of independent status.

Both scholarships are for $250.
