Wheat

Zeola Davis Wheat, 70, of McIntosh, died June 8, 2007, at Providence Hospital in Mobile. She was born February 21, 1937. She retired from Searcy Hospital in the Food Service Department. She was a member of Lang's Chapel AME Zion Church of McIntosh.

Survivors include, one son, Alonzo Wheat Jr., Gulfport, MS; one daughter, Regina (Donnie) Young, McIntosh; three brothers, Izell (Sandra) Davis, Calvert, Bryant (Beatrice) Davis Jr., Calvert and Lewis Davis, Cleveland, OH; nine sisters, Aslean (Robert) Johnson, Betty (Tobe) Marks, Clara (Johnny) Dunning, Mary (Rev. Charlie J.) White, all of Mt. Vernon, Delia West, Doris (Joe L.) Johnson, Sadie (Wallace) Reed, Ida (Carlos) Cox all of Calvert and Mae Etta (John) Roper, Toddtown; 3 grandsons; 1 great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 16, at 2 p.m. at Lang's Chapel AME Zion Church in McIntosh, with Rev. Hamilton, pastor and eulogist. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the St. Paul Cemetery in McIntosh. Arrangements are entrusted to Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson.
