      Alabama Electric Cooperative, Inc.'s (AEC) board of trustees voted to adopt a new corporate identity, including a new name for the organization, at the May 25 annual meeting. Beginning Jan. 1, 2008, the organization's name will be PowerSouth Energy Cooperative.
