Hole Shot '07
Boaters, fans converge on 'Bigbee Boaters, fans
Racing boats came from all over the southeast to participate in Hole Shot '07 on the Tombigbee River at Campbell's Landing this past weekend. The event, sponsored by the Thomasville Quarterback Club, drew good crowds both days. Fans lined the riverbank, shaded from the hot sun by tents and umbrellas, to watch the fast boats. Some boaters set up on the Choctaw County side of the river to watch. The activities were heavily patrolled by lawmen and a few citations for drinking and boating violations were issued but for the most part the crowd was said to be well-behaved.
