      The Grove Hill 9-10-year-old baseball team lost 11-3 to Thomasville Monday night in Camden. Hunter Spidle and Chaunce Chapman pitched for Grove Hill. Jacorey Snell had 2 hits, Chaunce Chapman, Bailey Newton, Hunter Spidle and Justin Smith each had one hit.

      Twyla Early waits on a pitch in one of the 9 & 10-year-old allstar softball games. The girls opened the District tournament by beating Thomasville 20-13. On Saturday they beat Gilbertown 10-7 and they lost 4-1 to a good Linden team.

CCHS QB Club to meet
      The Clarke County High School Quarterback Club will meet Tuesday, July 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the field. The meeting will be held prior to the Bulldogs taking on Leroy in a 7-on-7 passing clinic. All members and anyone wishing to join the group are urged to be at the meeting.

Lady Bulldogs to hold hoops camp
      The Clarke County Lady Bulldog basketball camp will be July 9 - 11 at the CCHS gym for girls third through the eight grade. The camp will run from 8 a.m. until 12 noon and the cost is $40. Registration forms can be filled out the first day of camp.

11 & 12-year-old softball all-stars lose in district tourney
      After winning their opening round game Friday, the Grove Hill 11 & 12-year-old softball all-star team dropped two games Saturday to be eliminated. In their final game they were edged 3-2 by arch-rival Thomasville in Gilbertown.

      The Grove Hill Coach-Pitch softball stars beat Sweet Water 12-11 last Saturday to remain alive in the district tournament in Gilbertown. Madison Newton had a walk-off 2-run homer to help Grove Hill advance. She had two hits in the game.

      Grove Hill's 11 & 12-year-old all-stars powered past the Bama Boys 19-4 Tuesday night in Thomasville. Zach Webb had two hits and three runs scored. Rush Wiggins and Brandon Pugh each had two hits and two runs scored. Anthony Watkins and Drew Larrimore each had a hit and scored three runs.
