Percy Lamar Glass, 84, of Theodore, died June 22, 2007 at

NHC Healthcare in Anniston.

He was born May

20, 1923 in

Octagon. He was a former deacon of Fulton Road Baptist Church in Mobile from 1972 to 1974. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Tillman's Corner. He was a master mason with the Azalea Lodge #898 F & AM. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force Civil Service. He was a retired carpenter with the Mobile City School System.

Survivors include his wife, Mergie Lee Harrison Glass, Anniston; three daughters, Gloria J. Glass- Germany, Linda C. Glass Temple, both of Demopolis, Dorothy Glass Quarles, Annniston; four sisters, Maybell Glass Sirmon, Margie Ann Glass Harner, both of Fairhope, Myrtis Glass Harris, Jefferson, Myrtle Glass Etheridge, Linden; three grandchildren; one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Aubrey "Hoss" Glass, Harvey E. Glass, Howard "Red" Glass, Joseph E. Glass; one sister, Bessie L. Tedder.

The service was June 23 at 10 a.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Hepburn officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.

Active pallbearers were John Michael Sirmon, Terry Lee Quarles, Tannon Christopher Temple, Taylor Lamar Horsley, Mike Stoudenmire and Don Glass.
