9 & 10-year-old all-stars doing well in Camden

The Grove Hill 9-10-year-old baseball team lost 11-3 to Thomasville Monday night in Camden.

Hunter Spidle and Chaunce Chapman pitched for Grove Hill.

Jacorey Snell had 2 hits, Chaunce Chapman, Bailey Newton, Hunter Spidle and Justin Smith each had one hit.

Last Saturday Grove Hill beat Monroeville 12-8 in the second game of the tournament.

Jacorey Snell, Chaunce Chapman, Bailey Newton, Hunter Spidle, Dustin Huggins, Ed Bennett, Jacorey Morris, and Justin Smith each had a hit in the win.

Ed Bennett, Hunter Spidle and Dustin Huggins each pitched in the win.

Grove Hill opened tourney play last Friday night by beating the Bama Boys 16-7.

Jacorey Morris, Jacorey Snell, Chaunce Chapman and Joseph Harris all pitched.

Jacorey Snell, Bailey Newton and Ed Bennett each had two hits.

Chaunce Chapman, Hunter Spidle, Dustin Huggins, Jacorey Morris, Justin Smith, Trey Larrimore, and Chandler Griffith all had one hit.

Tuesday night Grove Hill played Monroeville in an elimination game. The winner gets Thomasville in the next round.

The results from the rest of the tournament will be in next week's Democrat.
