9 & 10-year-old softball action
Twyla Early waits on a pitch in one of the 9 & 10-year-old allstar softball games. The girls opened the District tournament by beating Thomasville 20-13. On Saturday they beat Gilbertown 10-7 and they lost 4-1 to a good Linden team. Their game with Butler on Monday night was delayed by rain and was to be continued Tuesday night. The full results from each of the games in this age group will be in next week's Democrat.
