New Union

revival continues

The New Union Baptist Church located on Highway 69 South of Coffeeville will have revival services Thursday, (tonight), July 5 and end Friday, July 6 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Edmond Charleston Jr. will be the evangelist. Rev. Donald Reed is the pastor.

Truvine homecoming

and revival

Truvine Baptist Church of Dickinson will have its homecoming Sunday, July 8 at 2 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. Corey Morris. Truevine will have revival services beginning Monday, July 9 through Friday, July 13 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Cleo McGrew along with his church family will be the speaker for the week. Sis. Joyce Arnold is the secretary. Rev. Roderick Scott is the pastor.

Pilgrim Rest

anniversary

Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Walker Springs will have its 94th year church anniversary Sunday, July 8 at 2 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Clausell Boykin Sr., pastor of the St. James A.M.E. Church of Choctaw Bluff. Dinner will be served. Bro. Theodore Pritchett Sr. is the program chairman. Rev. Mulvoy Taylor Jr. is the pastor.

Union Grove

Bible school

Union Grove Baptist Church located on Highway 69 near Coffeeville will have an Avalance Ranch Bible School beginning Monday, July 9 through Friday, July 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. nightly. All ages from 2 and up are welcomed. If you think you are too old to be a young buckaroo then you may be a wrangler. There is a job for you. Dickinson Baptist

revival

Dickinson Baptist Church will have revival July 14 and 15. The guest speaker will be Bro. Donnie Guy of Gulfport, Miss. Revival will begin with a finger food fellowship at 6 p.m. Part one of a three part message on "Bible Prophecy" will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 15 Sunday school will be at 10 a.m. Part two of Bro. Guy's message will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served afterwards with an afternoon singing featuring the Glory Road Quartet. Part three of Bro. Guy's message will be Sunday at 6 p.m. Rev. James Parnell is the pastor.

District fellowship

Apostolic Overcoming Holy Churches of God Inc. announce the district fellowship meeting will be Saturday, July 14 at 7 p.m. at the Sunflower A.O.H. Church of God located on McFadden Avenue in Thomasville. Overseer Amos Jones is the district overseer. Elder S.L. Calhoun is the pastor.

Wayman Chapel special

Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church located at 2877 Morning Star Road in Whatley (Suggsville) will have its annual Family and Friends Day Celebration Sunday, July 15 at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Johnny Lynum and congregation, pastor of Indian Ridge Baptist Church of Whatley. Lizzie Brownlee is the secretary. Rev. Prospere Sainvilus is the pastor.

Mt. Gilead homecoming

Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Carlton will host its annual homecoming program Sunday, July 29 at 10:30 a.m. Worship will be at 11 a.m. Rev. Clayton Davis Sr. of Whatley, pastor of Good Hope Baptist Church of Walker Springs and St. Johns Baptist Church of Gainestown will be the guest speaker. Rev. L.E. Bush is the pastor.

Mt. Zion scholarships

Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church will award four $500 scholarships at its Annual Homecoming Service on Aug. 19. Two scholarships will be awarded in the name of the late Bernard Martin and is being sponsored by his family and friends. The other two scholarships are sponsored by Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church. Applications are available and can be obtained by calling or writing the Church. The mailing address of the church is P.O. Box 747, Grove Hill, AL 36451 and the phone number is 251-275-8743. The Bernard Martin scholarship is open to any high school graduate or college student in the Mt. Zion, Winn, St. Luke, or Grove Hill area. The Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church scholarship is only open to members of Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church. When requesting applications, please indicate the scholarship in which you are interested. Coffeeville Cemetery

Donations are sought for the maintenance of the Coffeeville Cemetery. Families and friends of loved ones buried in the community cemetery may send donations to Patsy Woodham, P.O. Box 86, Coffeeville, Ala. 36524.
