Dameron

Jackie "Jack" Wayne Dameron, 60, of Whatley died June 25, 2007 at his residence.

He was born April 1, 1947. He was a native of Caretta, West

Virginia. He was a Vietnam veteran

having served in the

U.S. Air Force. He was also a retired lay minister. He owned and operated First Quality Outlet, a clothing store in Grove Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Robinson Dameron, Whatley; his mother, Bertha Whitt Dameron, Kingsport, Tenn.; two brothers, Jerry Dameron, Blountville, Tenn., Aaron Dameron, Tazewell, Va.

The service was June 29 at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. His nephew, Ron Jackson also spoke. Burial was in the Dacy Cemetery in Whatley. Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill directed.

Active pallbearers were Jeff Luker, Todd Overstreet, Myron Gregory, Shannon Finney, Kenny Jackson and David Dameron.
