Kelley

James "J.R." Richard (Slick) Kelley, 70, of Mountain Home, Ark. died June 14, 2007 at Baxter Regional Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 5, 1937 to the late James Alex and Mattie Lee

(Jackson) Kelley of Grove Hill. He was

retired from the

United States Navy after 27 years having served during the Vietnam and Korean Wars.

Survivors include two sons, James R. "Rodney" Kelley and Tim A. Kelley, one daughter, Tammy R. (Rex) Beasley-Schaefer; three brothers, Edward Cannon, David (Nikki) Cannon, Tommy (Lori) Cannon; four sisters, Katie (Randy) Cornor, Anita (Ralph) Hewes, Jackie (Jim) Vaughn, Crissy (Paul) Edward; three granddaughters; three great-grandchildren.

Interment was a private ceremony.
