Thomasville woman charged with attempted murder
By Kathryn F. Pickard News Reporter

A Thomasville woman was charged with two counts of attempted murder after she allegedly fired a pistol at two other women.

According to statements given to Corporal Leroy Dale of Thomasville Police Department, Valerie Jones and Marquita Rothchild were at the residence of Yvonne Denise McCaskey on Claiborn Street Monday evening.

At some point McCaskey, Jones, Rothchild and McCaskey's boyfriend Antonio Adams began arguing.

According to Jones and Rothchild, McCaskey went into her residence and came back out with a pistol. She allegedly fired four rounds in the direction of the two women.

McCaskey denied owning a gun to Corporal Dale and admitted later to another officer she had one.

McCaskey was charged with two counts of attempted murder and her bond was set at $100,000.

Adams was charged with criminal trespassing for disregarding a protection order that banned him from McCaskey's residence.
