Rogers

Cecil Clyde Rogers, 85, of Tampa, Fla. died July 2, 2007 at Sun City Hospice in Tampa.

He was born Nov. 29, 1921 in Aimwell. He was a former resident of Atlanta, Ga. He was a

member of Mt. Vernon Baptist

Church in Atlanta.

He was a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include two daughters, Sally Rogers (Bob) Engel, Grove, Okla., Cindy Rogers (John) Dillard, Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Inez Rogers, Montgomery; one grandchild, Nick Allin, Atlanta, Ga.

The service was July 7 at 1 p.m. at the Aimwell Baptist Church with Revs. Jeffrey Mayton and Lon Baxter officiating. Burial was in the Aimwell Baptist Church Cemetery in Sweet Water. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Terah Huckabee, Dickie Rogers, Sonny Howard, Zach Martin, Reagan Daniels and Jimmy Daniels.
