Homegrown tomatoes flourish in backyard
Dale Harris of Grove Hill stands beside his healthy tomato tree that has produced some large "pink" tomatoes this year. With some attention, Miracle Grow and lots of water, he has maintained the plant during the recent drought. Harris, a native of Portland, Ohio, has lived in Grove Hill for 50 years. He moved to this area when he married his wife Jean, a native of Excel. When Harris is not tending to his tomato tree, he is filling prescriptions at his City Drugs in Grove Hill.
