North Clarke All-Stars out at state
      The North Clarke 14-year-old All-Star Team was eliminated from further competition in the Dixie Boys State Tournament on Saturday, July 21, when they fell to Troy 15 -5. The loss was their second in as many days in the event being held in Enterprise.

Thomasville again hosting World Series
      Thomasville is hosting the 2007 Dixie Pre-Majors World Series for the third time in five years. Teams and fans from 11 southern states are converging on the city for the games. Motels are filled and restaurants and other businesses expect a lot of business from the crowds.
