Pendleton

Darrel Pendleton, 51, died July 2, 2007.

He was born Feb. 19, 1956 to J.C. and Earl Dean Pendleton. He graduated from Clarke County High School in May 1974. He joined the

U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge upon his release. He was employed at River View Nursing Home in Toledo, Ohio for many years.

Survivors include his parents, J.C. and Earl Dean Pendleton, Grove Hill; three brothers, Charles (Bessie) Love, Saraland, Fernell (Brenda) Pendleton, Rayford Pendleton, all of Grove Hill; seven sisters, Diane "Sister" Blake and Chrissie Lean Butler, Toledo, Ohio, Carol (Curtis) Donald, Columbus, Miss., Linda "Lulu" (Kenneth) Hodge, Columbus, Ohio, Sharon Nichols, Grove Hill, Dora Dean (Wayne) Bullard, Monroeville, Angela Pendleton, Lodi, N.J.; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

The service was July 7 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Whatley with Rev. Fernell Pendleton officiating. Burial was in the Whatley Cemetery. Reese Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers were family, classmates and friends.
