Robinson family reunion

The descendants of Manual Robinson and Wealthy Lynum Robinson will meet at the Robinson Family Reunion - Alabama 2007, Thursday (today), Aug. 2-Sunday, Aug. 5. Registration material has been mailed to family members with known addresses. CCHS new students meet

Clarke County High School's "New Student Orientation" for all grade levels including the ninth grade will meet Thursday, (today), Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. at the CCHS Cafeteria. New students, their parents and or guardians are invited to attend. You may also pay fees and pick up your schedule prior to or after the session.

Diabetic support

group meets

Diabetic Support Group will meet quarterly at the Grove Hill Memorial Hospital. Meeting dates for 2007 are Thursday, (today), Aug. 2 and Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. Diabetes Education is offered at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital by an appointment only. MMAD Fun Day set

Men Making A Difference (MMAD) will be sponsoring a Fun Day for all surrounding areas on Saturday, Aug. 4 at the old Fulton school. There will be plenty of food and fun for everyone before the school bells ring. Everything is free. Terrance Weaver is the secretary and Joe Davis is the president.

GHES & WHMS open house

Grove Hill Elementary School and Wilson Hall Middle School will have registration Monday, Aug. 6 from 3 until 5 p.m. Registration for all new students. Returning students may drop off their supplies and pick up schedules.

Open House at CPS Clarke Preparatory School will have Open House Thursday, Aug. 9 from 6 until 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to come and meet the new headmaster, Mr. Walker and new teachers.

Snodgrass reunion planned

The Snodgrass reunion will be held Sunday, Aug. 12 from 12 p.m. until at the home W.V. Bedwell. Bring a covered dish and lawn chairs. For more information please contact W.V. Bedwell at 334-636-2696 or Diane Harrison at 251-275-8625.

GHMH blood drive set

Grove Hill Memorial Hospital will have a blood drive Monday, Aug. 13 from 12 noon until 6 p.m. in the bloodmobile. T-shirts and cholesterol screening to all donors. For more information contact Emily Steadham at 251- 275-3191. Celebrate Life...donate blood.

SAIA to meet

Southwest Alabama Improvement Association will meet Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. at Jackson Steakhouse. The guest speaker will be Rev. T.L. Douglas of the Clarke County Board of Education, District 4. He will give an update on the Board of Education activities along with a question and answer period. Areas of interest include school reform, truancy, rural housing development, career/employment opportunities, health care disparities, legal readiness, voter education/awareness, public service accountability, as well as youth and senior citizens concerns. SWAIA is a non-profit organization committed to promoting community unity/impowerment and improving the quality of life for individuals in Southwest Alabama counties of Clarke, Washington, Choctaw, Marengo, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Escambia, Butler, Baldwin and Mobile.
