Civil jury term next week; grand jury in session too

The civil jury term will be held in Clarke County Circuit Court next week. Judge Thomas Baxter and Judge Stuart C. DuBose will begin hearing cases Monday Aug. 6.

A grand jury will also be convened from the jury pool to hear criminal cases for possible indictment. Well over 300 cases are expected to be presented to the grand jury for consideration.
