Gates- Wood marry May 12

Mr. and Mrs. Jason Jerome Gates
Jennifer Brooke Wood of Grove Hill and Jason Jerome Gates of Thomasville were united in marriage Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Tompkins Baptist Church with Brother Johnny Gillis officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen T. Wood of Grove Hill. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie F. Wiggins of Grove Hill and Mrs. James B. Wood of Wetumpka.

The groom is the son of Jerry Gates of Thomasville and Mrs. Bonnie Hudson of Pensacola, Fla. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Gates of Liberty.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless white gown with a sequined apron skirt adorned by a cathedral train.

The bride was attended by Miranda Jones and Natalie Anderson, sisters of the bride, as matrons of honor.

Bridesmaids were Dena Andrews and Tara Gates, cousin of the groom.

The flower girl was Caroline Bowers, cousin of the groom and Anna Katherine Jones, niece of the bride.

The groom was attended by Richard Gates, brother of the groom.

Groomsmen were Adam Andrews, Russell Gates, cousin of the groom and Chase Williams.

Ushers were Cory Gates, John Gates, cousins of the groom.

Ringbearers were Jackson Bowers, cousin of the groom and Jack Jones, nephew of the bride.

A reception was held at Tompkins Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Servers for the bride's table were Laura Steen and Jessica Brooks.

Serving at the groom's table were Mrs. Lynn Gates, Mrs. Donna Gates, Mrs. Sharon Gates, aunts of the groom.

An after-rehearsal dinner was held at Tompkins Baptist Church Youth Hall hosted by the groom's family.

After a wedding cruise to Mexico the couple will reside in Grove Hill.
