Carrie Elizabeth Alford Rush, 63, of Thomasville died July 27, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary.

She was born June 30, 1944 in Sweet Water. She was a member of Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church. She was a former sewing machine operator.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Clyde Rush, Thomasville; one son, Randy Alford, Whatley; two daughters, Donna Jordan, Campbell, Charlotte Maynard, Grove Hill; one brother, Guy Dews, Jackson; two sisters, Elma Wixey, Grove Hill, Katie Yow, Ocean Springs, Miss.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

The service was July 30 at Grove Hill Methodist Protestant Church with Revs. Benny Crawford and Charles Rush officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Randall Alford, Jacob Knight, Jamie Hepstall, Tyler Alford, Christopher Walker, Todd Ready, Andy Turner, Dylan Rowell, Will Huckabee and Alvin Kennedy.
