Smith

Bobby Dalton Smith, 68, of Sweet Water died July 14, 2007 at Southwest Alabama Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 6, 1939 in Lasca. He was a member of the Sweet Water United Methodist Church. He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn J. Smith, Sweet Water; six sons, James Walter Smith, Gerald Charles Smith, Andrew Ranton Spencer Barentine, all of Pine Hill, Thomas Dalton Smith, Butler, William Henry Barentine, Adam Michael Barentine, both of Sweet Water; two daughters, Robin Elizabeth Smith, Pine Hill, Christan Dawn Barentine, San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Evey Winston Smith, Thomaston; two sisters, Francis S. Holley, Marianna, Fla., Caroline Smith, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 10 grandchildren.

A private memorial service was held at a later date. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
