Area Church Announcements ITCC pastor's first year Inspirational Tabernacle Church of God in Christ located at 1171 Industrial Road in Jackson will celebrate its pastor's first year anniversary, Evangelist Beverly Jackson. The anniversary will continue Thursday, (tonight), Aug. 9 and will end Friday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The anniversary will end Sunday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m. The special guest Thursday will be Rev. Clayton Davis, pastor of Good Hope Baptist Church and Friday, Rev. Marcus Kelley, pastor of Word of Truth Fellowship Church and Sunday, Prophet Charles Buchanan of Mobile, pastor of Showers of Blessings Church of God in Christ. Mother Carrie Alston and Sis. Mildred House are chairpersons and Evangelist Beverly Jackson is the pastor. Ulcanush continues revival Ulcanush Baptist Church will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), Aug. 9 and end Friday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. nightly. Bro. Butch Starks of Coffeeville will be the revival preacher. Larry and Carol Cox are worship leaders and Diane Dunagan is the pianist. Bro. Jessie Griffith is the pastor. St. Luke continues revival St. Luke Baptist Church of Grove Hill will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), Aug. 9 and end Friday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Rev. Pine Chapel continues revival Pine Chapel No. 1 Baptist Church will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), Aug. 9 and end Friday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. nightly. The evangelist for the week will be Rev. Clinton Johnson, pastor of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Mobile. Joan Pugh is the clerk. Rev. Eligha Scott Sr. is the pastor. Missionary conference set Grove Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Uriah in the Eliska community at 503 Scott Road will have the annual conference for youth, men and women Saturday, Aug. 11 beginning with breakfast from 8 until 9 a.m. The prayer walk will begin at 9:15 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. with a program to follow. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. Dr. Claudette Owens, a native of Frisco City and current resident of Decatur and some of the members of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Decatur will be conducting this conference sponsored by the missionaries of Grove Hill Baptist Church. Antioch Baptist homecoming Antioch Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday, Aug. 12 beginning with Sunday school at 10 and worship at 11 a.m. Dinner will be at 12 p.m. in the fellowship hall. A singing at 1:30 will feature convention singers of Clarke County. Everyone is invited. Spencer Chapel homecoming Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Wayman homecoming Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church of Suggsville will have homecoming and revival beginning Sunday, Aug. 19 through Friday, Aug. 24. The homecoming service will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Prospere Sainvilus and at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Mulvoy Taylor and congregation of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Walker Springs. Revival services will begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly with guest evangelist Rev. Levi Marshall, pastor of Wilson Chapel A.M.E. Church of Grove Hill. Midway Baptist homecoming Midway Baptist Church of Dickinson will celebrate homecoming and revival services Sunday, Aug. 19 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dave Adams and the Mackey Branch #2 Baptist Church of Gosport will be the special guests. Revival services will be Monday, Aug. 20 through Friday, Aug. 24 at 7:15. Rev. Fred D. Moore, pastor of the Christian Chapel Baptist Church of Demopolis will be the evangelist for the week. Rev. William Sharp II is the pastor. Mt. Zion scholarships Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church will award four $500 scholarships at its Annual Homecoming Service on Aug. 19. Two scholarships will be awarded in the name of the late Bernard Martin and is being sponsored by his family and friends. The other two scholarships are sponsored by Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church. The Bernard Martin scholarship is open to any high school graduate or college student in the Mt. Zion, Winn, St. Luke, or Grove Hill area. The Mt.
