Asphalt spilled in Jackson
Jackson police officers and Jackson volunteer firemen were called to an accident involving an asphalt dump truck last Friday. The dump body of an extended Mobile Asphalt Company dump truck turned over on Highway 43 as it was unloading into an asphalt spreader in front of Wal-Mart. The truck cab did not overturn and no one was hurt in the mishap but a big pile of hot asphalt had to be cleaned up. Mobile Asphalt has been paving Highway 43 in North Jackson and there has been a lot of traffic backups because of the work.
