By Kathryn F. Pickard News Reporter

Several personnel changes were made during the Grove Hill Town Council meeting Monday night.

A letter of resignation from town clerk Michelle Floyd was accepted.

Cheryl Hicks, who was serving as the town magistrate, was appointed by the council as the new town clerk.

Helen Carter was appointed as magistrate in training.

Other business

Mayor Lamar Hudson told council members Lewis Pest Control would be used on an asneeded basis to spray for mosquitoes so a contract with the business would not be needed.

Council members agreed to purchase a full page ad in the Clarke Preparatory School football program.

Mobile home permits were approved for Chinella Hill to place a mobile home on Jordan Street and Kenneth Horn to place a mobile home on Morris Street.
