T'ville voters to decide Tuesday

Thomasville citizens will go to the polls Tuesday, Aug. 14 to decide whether or not the legalized sale of alcoholic beverages will be permitted in the city limits. It will be a simple yes or no question - "Yes" for alcohol sales or "No" to contiue as a dry city.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Bashi Road Fire Station and the National Guard Armory. Voters who live in Districts 1 and 5 will vote at the fire station. Voters who live in Districts 3 and 4 will vote at the armory. There are approximately 2,860 registered voters in the city limits.

Clarke County is legally dry. Jackson held a municipal referendum in 2005 and voted in legalized sales.
