Sims-Gates to marry Sept. 1 in Thomasville
Mr. and Mrs. Danny Joe Sims of Thomasville, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Anna Katherine Sims to William Cory Gates, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Gates of the Liberty Community.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sims of Pine Hill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe C. Gray of Thomasville.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Gates of the Liberty Community and Mr. and Mrs. James C. Presnall of Grove Hill.

Anna is a 2002 graduate of Clarke Prep School and a 2004 graduate of The Florida Institute of Ultrasound. She is currently employed with Southwest Alabama Medical Center as an ultrasound technician.

Cory is a 2000 graduate of Grove Hill Academy and a 2003 graduate of Alabama Southern Community College. He is currently employed with Alabama River Pulp.

The wedding will be an event of Saturday, Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. at the Thomasville United Methodist Church. Family and friends are invited through the medium of the press.
