Wheat

Charles L. Wheat, 74, of Wagarville died Aug. 6, 2007 at a Mobile area hospital.

He was born Nov. 9, 1932. He was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Wagarville. He served in the United States Army. He was a retired operator for Olin Chemical Corporation.

Survivors include his wife, Eva M. Wheat, Wagarville; two sons, Buddy Wheat, Jim (Susie) Wheat, all of Wagarville; three sisters, Johnnie Louise Kelly, Flossie Chastain, both of Jackson, Ginger Reeves, Leroy; one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Lynn Wheat.

Visitation will be Thursday, (tonight), Aug. 9 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. The service will be Friday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Wagarville with Rev. Harold Bordages officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery in Wagarville.
