Mississippi Pecan Fest slated

The Perry County Historical Society in conjunction with the Mississippi Pecan Festival is currently taking applications for the Quilt Show for this year's festival. The 20th Annual Pecan Festival will be held on Sept. 28, 29, and 30 in Richton, Miss.

There will be six quilt categories with prize ribbons and a $100 cash prize awarded to the overall winner. Categories are: Handmade Bed Quilts, Wall Hangings, Juvenile Quilts, Kits, Antique Quilts, and Machine Quilted Quilts. There will be a $10 entry fee per quilt with the proceeds to benefit the Perry County Historical Society.
