Van Hoose

Leigh Van Hoose Sr., 89, of McIntosh died Aug. 8, 2007 at Jackson Health Care.

He was born Nov. 6, 1917. He was a

World War II veteran.

He worked as an operator at International Paper for over 30 years.

Survivors include one son, Leigh (Sue) Van Hoose Jr., Slidell, La.; two daughters, Martha (Bill) Rice, Natchez, Miss., Virginia (Marc) Kyzar, Jackson; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Hooks Cemetery in Sunflower with Rev. Jim DuFriend officiating. St. Stephens Funeral Home directed.

Active pallbearers were Van Sims, Russ Sims, Paul Van Hoose, Mike Rice, Earl Strong, Gene Harrell III, Gene Harrell IV and Joe Harrell.
