Advocacy Center asks for GH funds
By Kathryn F. Pickard News Reporter

Mary English, director of the Regional Child Advocacy Center presented a letter to the Grove Hill Town Council during Monday's meeting, requesting funds for the center.

She noted that the center was applying for accreditation through the National Children's Alliance, located in Washington. Representatives had been down to inspect the center and gave positive comments about the monetary support from the county and municipalities in the area.

"The funds you give us are used for matching funds for other grants and we want to thank you for your support in the past," English said.

A building permit was approved for Royce McVay to build a new home on Cobb Street.

The next council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday. Sept. 4, the day after Labor Day.
