Pictures From The Past
This was a gathering of the Elijah P. Chapman family at the home north of Grove Hill, in the late 1800s or early 1900s. Chapman and his wife, Eliza Jane Pogue Chapman, are at the far left. Others include their daughter, Eva Chapman Cunningham and her husband, Joseph W. Cunningham; son Mitford Chapman and wife Annie Jones Chapman, son Giles DeWitt Chapman and wife Emma Chapman; son David P. Chapman and wife Leila Chapman; and daughter Mary Chapman, who later married William Wilson. The youngsters are grandchildren of the elder Chapmans.
