Zimco hunting camp burns
A mobile home used as a hunting camp in the Zimco community caught fire and burned early Saturday morning. The pop-off valve on a propane tank released several different times during the fire, igniting the escaping gas in a tall column of fire visible in the photo. No one was at the camp when the fire occurred. The property is own by Frank Cobb of Zimco. Grove Hill and Winn firefighters responded to the blaze. A thunderstorm with intense lightning passed through the area around 1 or 2 a.m. that morning and some speculated that it may have had something to do with the fire.
