      All of the posturing about a football team being a one-dimensional running threat was literally thrown to the side as the Clarke Prep School Gators ran and passed their way past Patrician 35-24 Thursday night in Butler at Hannah- Hessleman Field.

Eagles suffer tough defeat at Cottage Hill in season opener
      Jackson Academy ventured to Mobile Friday night to take on AAA Cottage Hill in the season opening game for both squads. The Eagles were clearly outmatched heading into the contest but were able to get the young team some valuable game time experience heading into AA play this Friday.
