Several arrests made at weekend checkpoints

Drivers license checkpoints were conducted throughout the county last weekend.

Citations were issued and arrests made for driving while license suspended, driving while license revoked, no drivers license, DUI, possession of alcohol in vehicle, no insurance, expired tag and other outstanding warrants.

Checkpoints were held in Grove Hill, Jackson, Thomasville and Coffeeville and were manned by the Clarke County Sheriff's Department, Grove Hill Police Department, Jackson Police Department, Thomasville Police Department and Coffeeville Police Department.

Arrests booked through the Clarke County Jail this week include:

Robert Jarrell Bettis, two counts burglary, second degree, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Demetris Dianne Bracy, menacing, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

James Andrew Bridges, giving false information to a police officer, public intoxication, arrested by Grove Hill Police Dept.

Earnest Derrell Butler, theft of services, third degree, arrested by Thomasville Police Dept.

Samantha Leona Carstarphen, bad check, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Melissa K. Catt, possession of controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended, no insurance, arrested by Grove Hill Police Dept.

David Eden Cox, DUI, arrested by Coffeeville Police Dept.

Harold Joseph Davis, probation revocation by court referral officer for failure to appear or pay, probation violation, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Marquis Deshawn Dixon, DUI, violation of prohibition law, reckless endangerment, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Kellie Forrester, probation revocation for unlawful manufacturing of controlled substance, second degree, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Katrina Letressa Butler Gram, criminal trespassing, third degree, arrested by Thomasville Police Dept.

Steven Ladon Harvell, burglary, third degree, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Charles Alexander Hawkins Jr., domestic violence, first degree, burglary, second degree, arrested by Jackson Police Dept.

Robert Lee Henderson Jr., child support/court costs, court costs, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Edward Leonard Hill, health regulation violation/solid waste, health violation, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Antonio Lamar Hudson, disorderly conduct, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Larry Tekio Hunt, domestic violence, third degree, torture willful abuse of child, criminal trespassing, fishing on posted property, arrested by Clarke County Sheriff's Dept.

Calvin Rudolph Jimmerson, possession of controlled substance, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, leaving scene of an accident, assault, arrested by Task Force One.
