      Jackson Academy fell to Wilcox Academy 40-13 Friday night in Jackson. The Eagles had a huge night from senior David Hughston who had 17 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown, tallied 11-tackles on defense and returned a kick-off 75 yards for another touchdown.

      Marengo High School opened the 2007 season with a 19-6 win over the visiting Hornets of John Essex last Friday night. Quintin Watkins scored the game's first touchdown on a 12- yard run. Dante Packer added a 15-yard scoring run in the third quarter.
