In what could best be described as a signature win for the Allan Floyd coached, Clarke County High School Bulldogs dominated the T.R. Miller Tigers 36-7 last Friday night in Brewton.

The win came over one of the winningest teams in the state over the last 15 years and in one of the toughest venues to go and come away with a win.

"It was a huge win for this team and this program," Coach Allan Floyd said. "Anytime you can go on the road and get a win like this, it is important."

It didn't take the Bulldogs long to take command in the game as they scored first when quarterback Tyler Walker hit Terrance Frazier with a 30-yard touchdown. Kenneth Kimbrough ran in the 2-point conversion to give CCHS an 8-0 lead.

In the second quarter Kimbrough took the handoff from Walker and raced 77-yards for the Bulldog touchdown. Kimbrough powered in for the 2-point conversion and Clarke County had a 16-0 lead.

Just before the break Clarke County slammed the door shut when Walker connected with Kimbrough on a 15-yard touchdown pass.

Walker then tossed the 2- point conversion pass to tight end Justin Robinson and CCHS had a 24-0 stranglehold going into half time.

In the second half the Bulldog defense continued their mastery of stopping Miller's offense.

The offense took advantage and Kimbrough broke free for a 65-yard scoring jaunt. The try for two failed, but the Bulldogs tightened the clamps 30-0.

Tailback Tim Barnett closed out the scoring for Clarke County when he raced 55-yards for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. The conversion kick from Dwayne Owens hit the upright but the Bulldogs had a commanding 36-0 lead.

Miller prevented the shut-out when Seth Holland scored on a 2-yard run with less than :05 left in the game. The kick was good making it 36-7.

All-state running back Kimbrough led all rushers with 255 yards on 15 carries with two scores. He also caught a TD pass. Barnett added 111 yards on 17 carries with a score. Frazier had 34-yards on two carries and caught a TD pass.

Walker was 6-of-13 passing for 98 yards, a touchdown and an interception.

CCHS' offense churned out 466 yards total.

The Bulldog defense limited T.R. Miller to just 54 yards rushing and 86 yards passing for a total of 140 yards and forced them to punt seven times in the contest.

This Friday the eighth ranked Bulldogs have their home opener when they take on Calhoun in a region game. It will also be homecoming for Clarke County.

Game time is 7 p.m.
