Babes improve to 3-0 on v'ball season

The Clarke County High School Babes' volleyball team improved to 3- 0 on the season as they beat Monroe County 25-13, 25-12 and 25-21 last Thursday in Grove Hill.

And with the win they entered the state rankings in Class 3A at number nine.

Nikki Williams had six kills, four aces, one dig and two tips. Jessica Johnson had nine assist and six aces. MeMe Martin added six assists, three tips, two digs and eight aces. Alex Jones had two kills, two aces and an assist.

In the JV game CCHS won 25-15 and 25-21 over the junior Monroe team.

Cassandra Denson had four kills and five aces. Chelsea Morris had a kill and a dig. Ericka Williams had an ace. Halie Moore had five assist and four aces.

Last Tuesday the Babes traveled to Millry and beat the Lady Wildcats 19- 25, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-20.

Johnson had 23 assists, five aces, two digs and five tips. Jones had three kills, four aces and a dig. Martin had a kill and 22 assists. N. Williams had nine kills, seven aces and two tips. Jasmine Morris had two kills, two assists, two aces, five tips and three digs. Hannah Barnes had four kills and three tips. Celeste Snell added six kills, one tip and two digs.

In the JV game CCHS won 25-18, 15- 25 and 25-21 against Millry.

Moore had six aces. Mollie Paul had four assists and three aces. Brooke Nichols added two aces.

They played Leroy and Washington County Tuesday in Grove Hill.
